We thank the Denver Public Library, for their generous contribution to The American Guides Project. This enables the Project to utilize over 90,000 digital images from the DPL online collection, documenting the heritage of the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains. The library's western history collection also includes 200,000 cataloged books, maps and other works, along with 600,000 photographs, 3,700 manuscript archives, and a large quantity of excellent Western fine art and prints. You can access the complete set of images online at the Digital Image Collection. The Colorado Historical Society's Stephen H. Hart Library has granted similar permission to use its 30,000+ collection of images, also hosted at Denver Public Library's Digital Image Collection. Other holdings at the Hart Library include books, maps, architectural drawings, private and business correspondence, family albums, photographic prints, magazines and newspapers, and a wealth of other historical resources.
