County Partners
"Partnering to Promote American Community"
Our flexible Partner program is designed to help support our local heritage institutions. Few local institutions can afford to build a sophisticated web site, recruit volunteers nationwide, or promote themselves around the world...together, we can do all this and more! As a heritage institution, there are two simple ways to Partner with the Project:
1. Sponsoring Partner. We select just one Sponsoring Partner for each County. This role is usually fulfilled by a local heritage institution - examples include a museum, library, historical society; county or local government; chamber; tourist agency; high school; college; wildlife/environment nonprofit organizations.
Serves as primary local representative of the project in their County.
Helps to recruit localVolunteers and Associate Partners (see below)
Advises the Project regarding the content and organization of the local County Guide
Helps fund the County shareof Project costs (target is $1,000 per County).
Benefits include:
A free web page for your heritage organization on AmericanGuides.org
Right to sell Sponsor Placements on County Guide (less a $10 listing fee).
Listing on title page of County Guide; also free listing at top of County Sponsors' page.
1 free site license for our National Heritage Database for use by Partner staff and patrons.
Permission to use certain Project assets, such as trade name, trademarks, and products.

2. Associate Partners are local heritage organizations which:
Donate $50 per year and/or
Contribute all or part of an existing work (text, graphics, or other media) to the Project.
Benefits include:

A free listing at top of your County's Sponsor page.
Permission to use certain Project assets, such as trade name, trademarks, and products.
